La Vacanza in Finlandia

La Bella Principessa a Milano Presents:

I was so happy just be home and not working behind my computer or the sewing machine. I really needed the break of my normal life. I couldn`t have even hoped the weather to be so perfect the whole time I was in Finland. I love winter and snow. (I also have a perfect excuse to use my Moonboots…)

The Old Rauma is gorgeous with white cover. I have so many beautiful pictures from my home city.

Café Sali stayed as our favorite meeting place during the whole vacation. It keeps surprising me how many friends I meet there always by accident.

The old windows were beautiful with the icy lace.

I hadn`t been skating for years so it was time to try if I could still make some pirouettes.

We had some trouble with skates and decided to make a long walk… it was too cold to do even that. Luckily hot sauna and raclette was waiting for us.

On Sunday morning it was only -10C and we wanted to go to the seaside for a little walk. I was horrified of walking on the frozen sea…

We found the same place where we once captured the pictures with my dresses for the exhibition I had in Turku. Walking in the forest made us hungry and luckily the men had barbequed some hot sausage for us.

The trip could not have ended without some snow angels on the ice. I had absolutely great time back home in Finland and I can`t wait to return there as soon as possible…
