Vancouver 2010
La Bella Principessa a Milano Presents:
My first week in Vancouver has been great and it isn’t even over yet. I have met some old friends and by mistake saw my old Finnish friend on the screen in the Men’s hockey game of Finland against Germany. That was a sweet surprise finding him here in Vancouver. I am wondering whom else I will meet during the weeks here.
I just adore the Olympics’ mascots…
The other night we planned to go to the Holland Heineken House, but we had bad luck and didn’t get in, because the Netherlands had won 2 medals that same day and the party inside the house was only for native Dutch people or the press. We took part of other festivities in O Zone until our toes and fingers were freezing. Here is a picture of me with some strange Chinese art. We came home to watch a movie with 2 hot pizzas.
I love it here, because I don’t have to stress about having a minute schedule.
On Thursday before meeting my Dutch photographer friend we wanted to see what is going on in the Italy House, but it was a disappointment. No hot Italians, the best coffee in the world, delicious wine or snacks. I just need to wait for all that until I return home again, I guess. ;o)
I couldn’t wait to get to the Men’s hockey game Finland- Germany. I was surprised that the arena wasn’t full of Finns. We had good seats despite we weren’t right by the ice. I wish we could get tickets for tonight’s Finland –Sweden game.
So I did meet my friend in the hockey arena after about 5 years. Obviously we ended up spending the night with him and some new friends. The party after our team beat Germany 5-0 was like you can imagine… Vancouver is a city full of surprises.
Hyvä Teemu! Hyvä Suomi!
