Un giorno a Firenze Arvottu
La Bella Principessa a Milano presents:
Just to proof that my life wouldn’t get to be too boring, I had to travel to Florence for a job interview on Friday. I had an afternoon meeting with the creative director of a Florentine fashion company.
Like always in Italy, I had to wait for 30 minutes to meet the man in charge. It was pretty interested just to meet him in person. I adore the latest collections of the brand, but moving to Florence wasn’t the first thing in my mind… We’ll see!
When I got out of the palace it was pouring rain and I needed to find Jenni. She had been shopping while I was gone. The weather was so miserable that we weren’t on the mood to continue shopping. It was time to sit down and have a late lunch. At that time the only choices were the touristic restaurants in the city center. I have to say that even I make better tomatoes pasta and much cheaper… Ouch, being a tourist is expensive. Luckily the red wine was good.
We had both seen the city before so the only thing we wanted to see this time was the ”Ponte Vecchio”.
The rain stopped and the sun came… Jenni wanted new pair of sunglasses and we got on the mood of shopping again… Too bad the train was about to leave back to Milan and we needed to rush to the station. It is so easy to travel from Milan by train; I should start making the weekend getaways more often. Florence is only 2 hours 10 minutes by train. Next I want to see beautiful Rome again, what I remember, it is a romantic city for 2. Amore, andiamo…
